Step 1
Measure the length of the space we would like to illuminate in order to know how much LED strip we will require.
Step 2
If we have to cut off a piece, the strip must be cut at every 3 LEDs with a pair of scissors, exactly where the strip indicates with a mark.
Step 3
We must clean the area in which we are going to place our strip. Afterwards, remove the adhesive’s cover and stick to the selected area.
Step 4 (Optional)
Connect the strip to the controller if you would like to be able to raise or lower the brightness of the light. There are different types of controllers and dimmers, depending on whether they include a remote control or not.
Step 5
Now we must connect the strip to the power supply. To do this, we must connect the RED and BLACK cables to the power supply outlet in the following way:
+ SIGN or +V with the RED cable
- SIGN or -V with the BLACK cable
Step 6
Connect the power supply to a 220V AC electrical network (LIVE, NEUTRAL and EARTH), and the installation is complete.
If our lighting installation exceeds 8 metres in length, we will need to use amplifiers to guarantee that the intensity of light will be constant and uniform throughout our entire system. Our installation diagram illustrates how to distribute amplifiers correctly.
Step 1
LED strips must be cut at every 3 LEDs, with a pair of scissors exactly where the LED strip is marked.
Step 2
Connecting the two sections: If your strip is RGB (4 Pin) or Monochrome (2 Pin), there are two different types of connector we can use: ‘rigid’ connectors or connection wires.
Rigid Connectors
These are safer and more resistant connectors. We can join two strips in a straight line or at an angle and we can even connect two more strips into the shape of a ‘T’ or an ‘X’.
Connection Wires (Joined by a flexible cable)
These are less robust but allow more attachment options.
Step 3
Remove the cover from the adhesive and place it on the area you would like to light. Remember to have previously cleaned this surface.
Step 4
Connect the Strip controller if you would like to be able to adjust the brightness of the light. There are many different types of controllers and dimmers available, depending on whether they include a remote control or not.
Step 5
Connect the power supply to the controller. The power supply should provide the necessary power required for both the LED strip and the controller.
