Wind turbines are devices that convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electricity. They work by rotating the blades when the wind hits them, activating a generator that produces electricity. Vertical axis wind turbines are more suitable for confined spaces and wind.
Features of the 1kW 24V Wind Turbine Vertical Axis with MPPT Controller
This wind turbine is the perfect solution for homes, businesses and self-consumption projects. The body and blades are made of Nylon fibre, which makes it weather resistant, able to withstand the most adverse weather conditions, giving you the security of a long service life.
It incorporates an integrated MPPT controller which optimises the power generation and therefore the efficiency of the turbine is the maximum possible ensuring that you will never miss a significant gust of wind. It will even generate power in low wind conditions. The MPPT controller continuously optimises the load ensuring that a constant 24V DC voltage is provided to the 24V batteries.
It is possible to integrate the wind turbine with a hybrid or off-grid solar installation. For example, the inverter will be charging the batteries at 24V and at the same time if it is windy the wind turbine will also be providing 24V. The interesting point about wind turbines is that at night they can be charging the battery. Keep in mind that ultimately it will be the solar inverter that generates the 220V AC signal for the inside of the house.
Our wind turbine kit comes with everything you need for easy installation. It can be installed on flat surfaces or flat roofs. It does not include fixing systems, so the customer must ensure a correct fixing depending on the surface where it is going to be installed. In addition, our support team is at your disposal to answer any technical questions you may have.
