The 40W LED Street Light LUMILEDS PHILIPS Xitanium Villa is one of the latest generation of luminaires, offering instantaneous lighting thanks to its LED technology, as well as high power. It is the ideal replacement for the old discharge lamps, improving the quality of light and significantly reducing its energy consumption.

Incorporated with LUXEON 5050 2D light source. The light source is protected with tempered glass with an IP66 protection factor that makes it weatherproof. Lumileds technology guarantees high light output with extreme durability. Lumileds is a company that develops, manufactures and distributes lighting and holds more than 200 patents related to LED technology.
The body of the luminaire has been manufactured using the injection method to guarantee the optimum quality of the heatsink, in high quality aluminium. It has an interior hinge that improves its aesthetics without losing its versatility. An anti-corrosion treatment has been applied to it, both chemical and mechanical, which is resistant to UV rays and which further improves its aesthetic durability. In addition, for greater safety, the luminaire has a surge protector.
Characteristics of the XITANIUM Driver
A LED driver converts the alternating current from the mains supply into direct current, which can be used to illuminate the LED chips. The Xitanium Driver that it incorporates is from the prestigious company PHILIPS, one of the most innovative and prestigious brands in the lighting industry. This driver has been specially designed for Public Lighting. This range of drivers offers a unique reliability and flexibility, providing a high performance and optimum efficiency of LEDs. The entire range of Xitanium drivers incorporates an IP65 housing that protects against humidity, vibrations and temperature, guaranteeing maximum durability. In addition, it includes both over-temperature and surge protection.
This driver features several control functions. One of them being the 5 step dimming phase. This type of technology is called Fixed Time Based Dimming (FTBD). The 5 dimming phases are assigned a power capacity and a time duration. This way, when there is no traffic, the amount of light emitted by the luminaire is reduced, adapting intelligently to the different night scenarios and considerably reducing electricity consumption.
The other regulating function of the luminaire is carried out by means of 1-10V dimming, where the voltage of an alternate circuit is modified to regulate the intensity of light in the luminaire.
