The CPD Dynamic Power Controller for Single-Phase Electric Vehicle Charging is used to automatically adjust the power at which an electric vehicle is charged so that the maximum contracted power is never exceeded. The controller measures the instantaneous power consumption of the dwelling and thus avoids unexpected tripping of the main circuit breaker due to overload.
These types of controllers are very useful as they avoid increasing the fixed term of the contracted power and save a considerable amount of money. This controller is suitable for both residential and industrial applications. In homes the most common is to have contracted 5.5 kW of power. If we install a 7.4 kW electric car charger, we would exceed the maximum contracted power. Thanks to this controller we could dynamically adjust the maximum power of the charger. For example, when we have a consumption of 0W in the house we would charge at 5.5 kW. If the house consumes 1 kW, the charger would deliver 4.5 kW. This controller could also be used in industries with a maximum contracted power of up to 13 kW.
Every day we are moving towards a future where electric mobility is gaining momentum and that requires a high power to charge these vehicles, so this equipment provides a stable load without having to increase the maximum contracted power. This product can be used both as a CDP (Dynamic Power Controller) and as a power limiter. You can adjust the intensity of the device according to the required function:
-As a CDP it is adjusted between the values (20, 25, 30, 35, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60) A.
-As a limiter it can be adjusted between the values (10, 16, 20, 20, 25, 32) A.
