• Measure your tree: this will make it easier to determine how many LED bulbs or meters of string light you will need to use. As a guideline, for an average-sized indoor tree, 30 meters of lights may be enough, but for outdoor trees this number can increase exponentially.
• Let the decoration breathe: if you opt for the classic decoration with spiral LED lighting for your Christmas tree, remember to leave a space of 10 to 20 centimeters between turns to improve the aesthetic effect and not to overload the decoration.
• Play with colors: there are plenty of options when it comes to choosing the intensity, color and size of the LED lights for your Christmas tree, and you can even choose the color of the wire depending on the color of your tree. Don't be afraid to experiment.

Are LED Christmas tree lights safe?

LED lights are much safer than lighting systems based on incandescent bulbs, but it is important to take a number of extra precautions when decorating your Christmas tree with them:

• Turn off the lighting: don't leave your tree lights on when you leave the house or go to bed. This will reduce the risk of an accidental short circuit and support responsible energy consumption.
• Use quality power strips: always use EU-approved cables and power strips, and avoid overloading them. The excess of decorative elements plugged to the current is especially common at Christmas time.
• Keep heat sources away: make sure you buy a fireproof Christmas tree and avoid placing it near fireplaces, radiators or any other heat source that could cause unnecessary accidents.

To reduce consumption, consider using programmable timers to set the time for automatic switching on and off of lights.
