About Fluorescent Bulbs

Fluorescent bulbs provide a high quality cool or neutral light that is perfect for lighting work spaces such as offices, study rooms, workshops and kitchens, as well as spaces that need to be lit for long periods of time such as car parks or warehouses.

Although they became popular in the 1980s as a more efficient alternative to incandescent lamps, the most commonly used fluorescent bulbs are nowadays available in compact form under the name CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp).

At Ledkia we have bulbs that maintain the fluorescent technology but provide the added value of quality and safety.

In our online catalogue you will find fluorescent bulbs, also known as triphosphor bulbs, with an excellent chromatic reproduction so as not to alter the real colours that work at temperatures between -20 ºC and 40 ºC.

You can choose between neutral white lighting of 4000K (Kelvin degrees) or cool white of 6500K. Or choose a dimmable model using TRIAC technology. All of them are CE RoHS and UKCA certified so that you can enjoy intense and bright lighting without sacrificing environmental protection.

Incandescent bulbs, using highly efficient phosphors, provide savings of about 10 % compared to the old fluorescent bulbs and have a lifespan of about 15,000 hours.

To enjoy this type of lighting, we also suggest you explore our offers of fluorescent tubes.

Advantages of compact fluorescent lamps

Compact fluorescent bulbs provide, thanks to the technology they incorporate, a series of benefits among which we highlight:

  • Together with LED downlights, they are efficient substitutes for conventional downlights.
  • They provide a high intensity light with a low power consumption that allows you to save electricity as they offer a high power output while consuming less energy.
  • They take up little space and therefore fit perfectly into minimalist decors.
  • They are more sustainable due to their long lifetime - around 15,000 hours - and therefore help to reduce CO2 emissions.
  • They offer high efficiency, as most of the energy consumed is converted into light.
  • They are RoHS certified to limit the amount of polluting substances such as mercury.
